Concept & Animation

The UN World Food Programme was given spontaneous access to the Reuters and NASDAQ screens in Times Square – reaching over 1.5 million people a day – to promote its ShareTheMeal app, which allows users to donate 50 cents for a meal with just one click.

50 cents isn’t much in New York. But in other parts of the world, it’s enough to feed a child for an entire day. So we created a film that shows what 50 cents gets you in NYC: almost nothing.

I animated the entire asset in Adobe After Effects, translating the idea into a bold, high-impact film designed specifically for the scale and speed of Times Square.

How do you simply explain to young people that Gema is not the bad guy? Have a good idea to raffle off a Mercedes? And how to convince 2B2 retailers to buy at Metro?

If you still have a little imagination left:
Can you believe that these images never existed in this way, but were composed out of dozens of images?

Working at Grabarz & Partner I learned automotive from the ground up: From hands-on compositing and detailed Photoshop work to building complex visuals from multiple layers, it was where I developed my strong sense for precision and craft.
